Event Description

There is no better place to enjoy at 5K run/walk than Downtown Dunedin so join us as we gather at Weaver Park 1258 Bayshore Blvd. Dunedin, FL 34698. Dunedin's Summer LOVE ONE ANOTHER 5K and Kid's Dash Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Weaver Park begins at 8:30 am on the trail with the Kid's dash and the 5K will begin about 20 minutes later just before 9 a.m.

The run/walk is a timed 5K distance and is open to all ages and levels of ability. We also welcome families so we are both kid and dog friendly. Register your child for the Kids Dash where they’ll receive their own “kid friendly” finisher’s medal different from the 5K medal. We call the registered children under age 10 out to the fully paved trail about 15 minutes prior to our 5K start to line them up for the kid’s dash run! We size the children up so that they are running with children about their size and they are never out of sight. It’s a very short run, but PACKED with fun, and parents ARE permitted to run along side their children.

An email will be sent to ALL registrant the day before the race before 2 pm which will include your bib number assignment along with your waiver to participate for you to print and bring with you on event morning. For those travelling or without a printer we will have waivers on site but bringing it with you moves check in much more quickly. Occasionally we have a few bad email addresses so if you don’t receive the final email the day before the race please email XanaduRaceManagement@gmail.com 

Parking is encourage in downtown Dunedin at the artisan Artisan parking garage at 356 Monroe Street, Dunedin, FL 34698 then walk toward the venue using the Pinellas Trail heading north to Weaver Park. Volunteers are the only people who can use parking at Weaver but this location can also be use for those dropping someone off and for Uber or Lyft.

Check in is RACE MORNING ONLY and it is safe and touch FREE. Each registrants will receive one dry fit promotional run shirt and one awesome event theme’d finisher’s medal. We will have a bag check zone if you don’t want to go back to your car. This is a family environment with a great kids play zone.

The 5K will be scored by Race Splitter but results ARE purposely not posted at the venue so we can maintain our light hearted group of non-competitive runners and walkers. You can find your finish time in overall results later in the afternoon at www.727CanRace.com  We also bring additional top finisher’s frames for seniors and our younger runners so if you had an exceptional day (any age) let Suzanne know at the microphone and we’ll award you for your performance! Age group awards slow down the day and we have used this method the last 7 years and it works out BEAUTIFULLY for the laid back group of runners we attract. We are the number once search for travelers looking for a local 5K as we limit our runs to 200 participants so let us know when you arrive which state or country you have travelled from. About 70% of our participants are from out of town and WE LOVE TO HAVE ALL OF YOU!

After the run we encourage you to walk downtown to see exactly what all the rave is about Dunedin, Florida from our shops, restaurants, 13 breweries, and amazing marina district. Dunedin is also home to the famous Honeymoon Island State Park so make a day of it if you can. Thanks for joining us and we look forward to seeing you race morning!
