Run for Wreaths Fundraiser 5k

Come join us for a FUNdraiser 5k run/walk, starting and ending at Woodruff Park on November 5, 2022 at 8am, as we raise money to purchase wreaths for the Fort Mitchell Wreaths Across America event. The route will take you along the beautiful Riverwalks of Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL. Afterwards, feel free to enjoy all the shopping and dining pleasures that Uptown Columbus has to offer! 

Wreaths Across America is a National event held every December to honor our Veterans who fought to defend our Country. A ceremony is held at various VA National Cemeteries, followed by the laying of wreaths on each Veteran’s headstone. Each wreath must be individually purchased or purchased through donations, as they are not provided by the cemetery. Without enough donations or individually purchased wreaths, not all Veterans will receive a wreath on their headstone. 

The proceeds from this run will go to purchase wreaths for the Fort Mitchell National Cemetery Wreaths Across America event, held in Fort Mitchell, AL. Each registration will sponsor 2 wreaths for the Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. All registrants will also receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal. ***You must register by October 15, 2022 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. In efforts to maximize the number of purchased wreaths, there will be no timing for the run and no awards for top finishers.
