Event Description
The 5Katie is a 5K run and 2K walk event to benefit pediatric cancer. Formed in memory of Katie Cobb, the 5Katie race will directly benefit care and treatment of children with cancer.
The race will be held on October 1, 2022 at 9:00 AM, at the Eleanor Park and Fairgrounds in Putnam County, WV.
The 5K race will be a mix of soft trail, gravel trail, and roads through the park grounds. The 5K is a competitive race with awards for overall male and female (1st-3rd place), as well as first place awards for both male and female in the following age divisions:
- 12-18
- 19-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60-69
- 70-79
- 80 & Up
The 2K walk is a non-competitive event and will be an easy to moderate course on gravel trails and roadways within the park.
Registration for both runners and walkers will include shirts. Shirts are not guaranteed for sign-ups after Sept. 24th.
Registration fees will be the same for both runners and walkers.
- Early Bird Pricing - $25 until September 3rd
- Regular Pricing - $35 from Sept. 4 - Oct. 1
The 5Katie is a non-profit event and all proceeds will directly benefit children with pediatric cancer.
