Event Description

2022 Town and Gown 5K Run, 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, and Virtual 5K or 1 Mile Run/Walk

5K start time:  8 a.m. 

·         5K Entry fee: $15/person. 

1 Mile Fun Run/Walk begins immediately after the 5K start time. 

·         1 Mile Fun Run/Walk entry fee: $15/person.  There is no charge for small children in strollers.

Deadline for guaranteed shirts (only adult, unisex sizes available):  September 13.

Once online registration closes October 7th, participants may register in person at the Alumni Center on Friday, October 14 between 9 a.m.-7:00 p.m. at 1101 N. Main St.). Any extra shirts that are available will be on a first-come, first-serve basis on October 14 between 9 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.  Register the day of the race on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 7 – 7:45 a.m. at the Student Fitness Center (347 S. University).

PACKET PICK-UP
Friday, October 14 from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. in the Kasten room of the Alumni Center or Saturday, October 15 from 7-7:45 a.m. at the Student Fitness Center

PRIZES:
Prizes will be awarded to the overall 5K male and female winners, as well as the top three male and female finishers in each age division: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over, and overall male and female wheelchair racers.  Awards are for in-person only.

The 5K Run and the 1 Mile Fun Run will begin outside the Student Fitness Center and end on the Quad.  Routes can be found at Homecoming.IllinoisState.edu.

·         There will be one water stop during the 5K run and refreshments available afterwards for all run/walk participants, courtesy of the Town of Normal.

·         The 5K will be chip-timed, courtesy of It’s Race time, Inc.

·         No pets please.

·         Sorry, no refunds.

Parking is available in the South University Street Parking Garage.

Registering for this event is strictly voluntary. The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University (ISU) will not be responsible for, and expressly disclaims all liability for, damages of any kind arising out of any individual’s participation in this event.
