Event Description

Global Health Promise (GHP) is having its first annual virtual 5k & 10k run/walk! Join the GHP community in raising funds for mothers in sex work and their children to have access to maternal health care and safe in-hospital delivery of their newborns, and reliable access to nutritious food.

In tandem with our local partners in Nigeria, we have been working to compile a database of mothers and children who need urgent assistance to meet these fundamental needs. This fundraiser will aim to raise $10,000 to provide food for 62 mothers and 131 children in Calabar and Lagos, Nigeria for one month and to provide maternal health care for ten pregnant mothers.

We ask that all participants participate in individual fundraising efforts. When you register for the race, there will be an option to create your own individual fundraiser. This fundraiser can be reposted to your social media accounts, and notably is integrated already with Facebook. If you raise $125, you will receive a free GHP hat and race sticker!
