Event Description

Santa Claus is coming is coming to Jay-town—and you can too! 

COME JOIN THE FUN AT THE REINDEER RUN! The Joy in Jay Committee is happy to announce the addition of a fun run to the annual events! The course covers a distance of approximately 2 miles.  

You can choose to run or walk the course and have fun doing it. The event will start and end at Mistletoe Junction. Start time is 8:00AM and you can register on-line at www.active.com or at the Gazebo on the event day beginning at 7:00AM. Event Day Registration ends at 7:45AM. Only registered participants are guaranteed a t-shirt. Event Day registration t-shirts will be first come, first served. So, register early! Registration forms will be available at the Jay City Hall before the event. If you choose to mail in your registration form, send to: Reindeer Run, % Matt Dobson, 3972 Range Road, Jay, Florida 32565.

TIME: 8:00AM 

PLACE: Mistletoe Junction (Gazebo on Hwy. 4—downtown Jay). 

FEE: $20.00 

AWARDS: All registered runners and walkers who finish will get a souvenir medallion! 

SPECIAL OVERALL CATEGORIES:  

  • Best Costume for students (K – 6th Grade). 
  • Best Costume for students (7th – 12th Grade). 
  • Best Costume for Adults. 
  • Largest Costumed Group (by participant total). 
  • Most Festive Costume. 

COURSE: Some of the streets will be closed to traffic due to parade preparation. All participants (runners & walkers) are encouraged to use the sidewalks along the course. A course map will be available at the gazebo on the event date.
