Event Description

Located on the 45th parallel of the equator, Gaylord, Michigan is the Snow paradise of the state. Hosting Michigan’s first ever Winter triathlon in 2022, we are back for 2023 and look forward to showing endurance enthusiasts that Winter is not down time, it is time to really get started!

We have a scenic 5k Cross country Ski that starts off the Winter triathlon. Followed by an epic and slightly challenging 10k fat tire bike race. Then ending with a refreshing and vigorous 5k run to the finish line.

Do you have a desire to try something new? Do you want to stay motivated all year round? Do you like a good challenge? Then this race is for you! Don’t sit out during the winter season, get Active!

Treetops is the Perfect location for this event, with the rolling hills and the breathtaking views. Gaylord is your ticket for All outdoors and more!

Parcipants will recieve a unique finishing medal. Top 2 finishers in each10 year age group, Male and Female, will receieve an additional medal. The top over all Male and Female will recieve the coveted finisher STEIN! Yeah, we give out a Stein to the winners. We are an Alpine Town in Gaylord and we embrace it.

In addition to the medal, each participant will recieve a...TBD (dont worry, we will let you know, and you will love it!..we hope).

Bonus-We serve Warm Gatoriad. Trust me, dont knock it till you try it. It is AMAZING!!

Event details and schedule

March 4th @ Treetops in Gaylord Michigan.

Show up at 8am. Event Starts at 10am. Please try and finish by 1pm. We wont kick you off the course, but we cant promise the Gatoraid will still be warm.

Parking on location at the lodge for the triathlon, It will be marked.

Please make sure to bring ID for packet pickup.

You will need to aquire cross country skis and a Fat tire bike. we did have someone try on a mountain bike...Lets just say that brave sole did not cross the finish line, you are welcome to try, but the fatter the tires, the better the race. You may contact the race director if you need recomendations for rental places.

Be sure to wear weather appropriate clothing and a change of clothes. This is Michigan, It can snow one second, be sunny the next, and then rain. We are an all season in the same day type of town and we love it.
