“Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” 

This quote is attributed by friends of Dr. Martin L. King Jr.  to the civil rights icon.

In celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 2023, we hope that you will join us in taking steps as we celebrate his legacy.

Students, staff, faculty, alumni our R-MC Community can participate in our virtual challenge or the on campus walk. 

When? Virtual: Anytime between Friday, January 13th through January 16, 2023.  On Campus Walk: Monday, January 16th: 

Where? You can participate from wherever you are by committing to Take the First Steps in honor of MLK's legacy.  

How? Each participant for Take the First Steps will log their own activity. Every step matters!  

There is no cost to register, it's free! 

You can register as an individual or part of a team. Participants are encouraged to upload photos to share their journey.  If using social media, please @RandolphMacon
