Event Description
Join us for a Fun Run (5k, 10k or virtual run/walk) to raise crucial funds for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) in Honor of Bert Vicchio (Bertman). The fight to terminate blood cancer is ongoing and Bert's daughter, Lianne Vicchio will be racing the Lavaman Waikoloa Triathlon in his name. This is the first event we will be hosting in efforts to hit the $10,000 LLS fundraising goal. 100% of the funds raised for the race will be donated to LLS through Lianne's fundraiser.
Where: Nimbus Fish Hatchery (American River Parkway start line- going south)
When: Sunday January 15th 8:00am (The day before Bertman's Bday!)
Course Description: This is an out and back course on the American River Trial starting at the Nimbus Fish Hatchery and moving south. THIS COURSE IS open and available to other river parkway users. PLEASE always stay left as walkers and runners. The Aid station will be at the 10k turn around; no aid station for the 5k out on course.
Packet/Bib Pick-up is DAY OF ONLY. Starting at 6:30am, 1/15/23 at the Nimbus Fish Hatchery Parking lot. *Pick your race distance on race morning!
