Event Description
This isn't the cushy road race that you're used to. For the Saturday 5K Challenge, 10K, and the Mermaid Mile Kid's Fun Run (for kids 12 and under), there is no official timing...there are no assigned corrals...there are no wave starts. There are no points for 2nd place! To win...you gotta be at the front of the pack at the start line...when the cannon goes off. You have to complete all of the obstacles, go the distance, and cross the finish line first. Whining is not allowed. Snowflakes...this isn't for you. So before you consider signing up for this event, you really need to ask yourself..."Am I tough enough?"
NEW to the Ocean View Storm the Bay Race Series...The Storm the Bay OCEAN VIEW HALF MARATHON! A flat, USATF Certified Road Race (No beach running with this event) that will attract even the fastest elites that feel the need for speed and breaking records! Official timing is provided.

Storm the Bay 10K (Road/Beach Surface Run Only)
Storm the Bay Ocean View Half Marathon (Road Race- USATF Certified)

If you qualify with the times below you can receive a Comp Registration. Please contact our Race Director at Orangerunning@yahoo.com, Your time must be from a Half Marathon race completed between Jan 1, 2022 - August 1, 2023.

Male Masters Sub - 1:18:00 Female Masters Sub - 1:26:00
AWARDS:
Half Marathon - top 3 overall female and male finishers in the following categories: Overall, Masters, 19&under, 5-year age groups 20-74 and 75+. Top male & female walkers. Youth age group awards for the one mile as well. We will also give out an award for the 1st Place Male & Female Active Duty Service Member!
Prize money will be awarded to the top 3 male and female and overall male and female masters winners.

PACKET PICK-UP:
Advance packet pick-up will be at Cova Brewery in Norfolk, VA on October 13th & 14th. More details coming soon! Race day packet pickup will be available for both Race Days.
