New England's only downhill 5K race. The course drops 224 feet from start to finish. This USATF certified 5K course begins at the Hollis Brookline Middle School in Hollis, New Hampshire. The gradual downhill course travels through beautiful apple orchards, corn fields and vegetable farms, finishing at the junction of Depot Rd. and Rt. 111. The course lends itself to people running a personal best time and for first time racers, a runner friendly course.
Running Times Magazine listed this race course as one of the top three fastest race courses in the USA. The Wall Street Journal posted an article about this unique race course. New England Runner magazine named this race as their Race of the Year for 2018.
The race is timed using Chronotrack timing chips and the results will be posted at the race and via iResults.com. The finish line features a state of the art Jumbotron video board with runners able to see their finishing times as they cross the finish line.

New This year! A non-competitive team competition
Many runners form friendships and become part of a group. Some runners run for a competitive corporate or running club team, and others run with a social group consisting of friends and family from work or from the gym. We are encouraging groups to join us under a group or team name. There is no timed group competition, but there is a group or team participants competition with a prize of $150.00 for the team or group with the most members.
This is not an award for the fastest team. That gives running club teams, corporate teams and teams consisting of friends and acquaintances an equal chance to win. All they need to do is get people to join or create a team and sign up as team member.
Team or group members who have previously registered without declaring a team affiliation can log in to runsignup.com. Click the "profile" icon (little gray character) and see your name. Click the rectangular "Upcoming Events" button and select "Hollis Fast 5K". Look to the right side of the page and see the blue colored "Manage Registration" and click on it. Next, click on the "Group/Team" header at the top of the page. Click on the rectangular button titled "Current Group/Team". A dropdown menu will list the teams who have already registered. Click on your team. If your team is not listed, click on the "Create New Group/Team" rectangular button and type in your team name. You are now officially a member of a team.
If you can't figure this out, send us an email message at email@example.com We will contact you.
Note: Teams or Clubs must be declared during the registration period prior to race day
