Event Description
BRING ON WINTER; WE'RE READY FOR IT!
The Frosty Feet Run and Plunge will be the fourth and final race of the Apex Race Series happening in Danville Kentucky. You will have the opportunity to run or walk the 1 mile or 5K course at Millennium Park to finish 2023 strong. What better way to end the year than to spend it with friends and family at beautiful Millennium Park for a Winter race!! The Frosty Feet Run and Plunge is all about staying motivated and active to end 2023 on a healthy note as well as doing something a little crazy with the option for a polar plunge after the race. For the polar plunge we will be partnering with the Danville-Boyle County Parks and Recreation Department and using the pool at the Recreation Center across the street from the race location. The pool is located at 110 Man O War Drive, Danville, KY 40422 which is less than ¾ of a mile from the race start and finish line. Both the race and the polar plunge will have photos provided by A Runner’s Mom & More Photography so you can have photographic proof that you survived the cold. As with all our events, we will plan to have a coffee truck and a donut truck on site as well as a bounce house, games and vendors so that the whole family can enjoy the fun.
Race Distance:
5K-This will once again be a new course that has never been used at Millennium Park. Click here for the 5K course!
1 Miler – We will be doing two events for the 1-mile distance. We will do a one mile fastest kid in town event that will be a timed 1-mile race to see who the fastest kid in town is in the following age groups. 0-5, 6-9, 10-13, 14-17. We will also have an untimed 1 mile fun run for the whole family, strollers and leashed pets. Click here for the 1 mile course!
Frosty Feet Plunge:
The Frosty Feet Plunge will take place at the Danville-Boyle County Recreation Center immediately after the awards at 10:30am. To participate in the Frosty Feet Plunge you must raise a minimum donation of $40 but additional donations can be made through runsignup.com, these funds will be used to support the Danville-Boyle County youth athletics program through the purchase of uniforms and equipment. We hope to have as many people as possible take part in this craziness and jump in the frigid water to help support the youth of the County.

Saturday December 30th - 8:30am-9:15am at Millennium Park, 1000 Cunningham Way, Danville, KY 40422
Start and Finish:
The start and finish lines will be in the same location near the football/soccer fields
