Northwest MedWAR
MedWAR is short for Medical Wilderness Adventure Race. It is a unique event that combines wilderness medical challenges with the growing sport of adventure racing. The race was also developed as a tool for teaching and testing the knowledge, skills, and techniques of wilderness medicine, and for promoting teamwork and collegiality among competitors. MedWAR is sanctioned by North American Educational Adventure Racing (NAEAR).
Pacific Northwest Wilderness Medicine (PNWM) has partnered with North American Educational Adventure Racing (NAEAR) to bring the Medical Wilderness Adventure Race back to Washington State for the second year in a row. The inaugural MedWAR was developed and hosted by emergency physicians and medical students from the Medical College in Georgia in the fall of 2000. Since then, MedWAR Challenge has grown to include races all over the country every year. We were honored to bring this unique educational event back to our corner of the continent in 2019 and excited to return for 2023.
Race Format: Teams of four run and navigate through challenging trails and beautiful forest scenery to find challenging medical simulations.

REGISTRATION DETAILS
Fees: $220 per team of 4 racers (early bird) through March 19th, $240 from March 20th through April 19th, $260 from April 20th until race day.
Deadline: April 19th, 2023. After this date, contact us. Entries may be accepted based on availability however shirt availability cannot be guaranteed. Volunteers may register up until the day before the race.

*Racers will have the opportunity to submit their T-shirt size upon registration to receive an exclusive Northwest MedWAR 2023 event shirt. Disclaimer: please register early to ensure that your shirt can arrive by race day. If the supply chain causes delays in T-shirt orders, we may be able to mail it to you after the race.
Cancellation policy: 100% refund before March 15th, 50% refund will be given to teams who cancel between 3/15-4/19. No refund for cancellations after 4/19/23
