Event Description

Come experience a race like no other! Runners will wind their way throughout our 300 acre farm with over 150+ draft horses shaking the ground beneath them as they gallop alongside you! Our course features beautiful wooded forest trails that meander onto wide grass and gravel pathways and lead you to incredible views of the entire farm. Race for time or stop and grab a selfie with Phantom, King, Blue Bonnet, Yoda, and so many more!

The excitement doesn’t end when you cross the finish line! Make sure you stick around to grab some grub at the food trucks on site, get a drink at the Brookeville beer farm beer truck and enjoy watching our Equitainment demonstrations!

Must register by Friday, May 19th to secure your 2023 Thundering Hooves Race T-Shirt. Entries made after 5/19 will receive a t-shirt if there are sizes available.

Start Time: 9:00am / Packet Pick-up: 8:00am

Parking & Race Entrance: 17250 Old Frederick Rd. Mt. Airy, MD

Please try to arrive early to get the best parking spot, grab your packet, sign your waiver and get your swag bag. Race and Riding Demonstrations will be held rain or shine (though we’d really prefer shine!). Should we have rain that causes areas of the course(s) to become too muddy or slick, we will divert to a backup route that still meets the 1 mile and 5k requirements. Don't forget the bug spray and sunscreen!

Bring the family to cheer you on but leave the fur-kids at home please! While we are all huge animal lovers, we want to keep your dog and our horses safe so make sure to put Animal Planet on the T.V., give your doggo a boop for us, and leave the fur-kids at home.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each category.
