Event Description

The Fool’s Run course will start on the beach in front of Wanna Wanna Beach Bar & Grill, continuing on in the north direction.  Participants in the 5K will turn around at the halfway point, Hilton Garden Inn.  Participants in the 10K will turn around at the halfway point, Beach Access 5.  The course will end in front of Wanna Wanna Beach Bar & Grill on South Padre Island. Wanna Wanna Beach Bar & Grill will open at 9:00 am if anyone wishes to purchase food and/or beverages.  Male and Female restrooms will be provided on site at Wanna Wanna Beach Bar & Grill.  Limited parking is available on site.  Hydration stations will be provided on site at Wanna Wanna Beach Bar & Grill, as well as, at the halfway points on the race course.  Award ceremonies and live music entertainment will be held immediately following the race/walk at Wanna Wanna Beach Bar & Grill on South Padre Island.

The Start/Finish line set-up with double sided race clock, will be placed directly on the beach in front of the volleyball net at Wanna Wanna Beach Bar & Grill.

Event details and schedule:
START: Fool’s Run 10K starts at 10:00 a.m. sharp on the beach in front of Wanna Wanna Beach Bar & Grill.

Fitness Walk starts at 10:15 a.m. sharp on the beach in front of Wanna Wanna Beach Bar & Grill.

RACE COURSE:
10K (6.2 miles). Starts and ends at Wanna Wanna Beach Bar & Grill on South Padre Island. Water stations will be provided along the course and at the finish line. EMS protection will be provided. 

FITNESS WALK COURSE: 5K (3.1 miles). This course starts and ends at Wanna Wanna Beach Bar & Grill on South Padre Island. THIS IS NOT A RACE. IT IS A PARTICIPATION WALK.

AWARDS & PRESENTATIONS: Medals will be given to the overall 1st through 3rd male and female winners as well as 1st through 3rd place winners in each male and female age division of the 10K. In addition, the overall top male and female winners will receive a special prize!  Overall winners will be ineligible for awards in their respective age divisions. ALL PARTICIPANTS CROSSING THE FINISH LINES WILL RECEIVE FINISHER MEDALS. (while supplies last).  Participants are encouraged to dress up in their most “foolish” costume for a chance to win a sweet prize for “best costume”!

T-shirts will be for the first 100 participants and Medals will be limited while supplies last.

Late registration can be processed at Wanna Wanna’s on March 27-30 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.  Or online until March 30th at 10:00 PM.
