Babcock Ranch is excited to announce our inaugural Race for the Planet 5K Trail Run.  Race is 4/22/23

All runners and walkers will receive a custom-designed Race for the Planet shirt, available in youth and adult sizes.  Shirt Cut off date is 4/14/23 11:59PM.  You will not be guaranteed a shirt if you register after 4/14/23  

EARLY PACKET PICKUP:  Thursday April 20th, 4-6pm at Babcock Ranch Residential Assn. 42911, Lake Babcock Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33982  . 

RACE DAY PARKING:  Free ample parking is available near the starting area.

RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP:  6:45 - 7:45am, at Babcock square. 

RACE DAY REGISTRATION:  6:45 - 7:45am, cost is $35.00.  

RACE START TIME:  8:00 am. 

There will be post-race food – 

The race is chip-timed by Beach Bum Timing.  

Bathrooms and Water Stations will be located at the start and finish area.  Water stop will be at the half way mark.  

Awards:

Age group awards are based off-chip time.

There will be overall awards:

Actual Awards:

1st Place Overall Awards - Male & Female.

1st Place Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters - Male & Female

In-person awards to the top three M/F in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. 

Q: Is this a timed race? 
A: Yes the  5K is chip-timed. 

Q: What is the course surface like?
A: The course is a mixture of grass, hard-packed shell, dirt, and mulch.

Q: Are dogs allowed on the course? 
A: You may run with your dog, but you assume ALL responsibility for your dog. You must maintain proper social distancing and pick up after your pooch. 

Q: Are strollers allowed on the course? 
A: No

Q: Is the course good for spectators? 
A: Yes
