Abby's Joy is entering the world of 5K/Fun Runs with our Inaugural "Color Me Rad" 5K/Family Fun Color Run! Please join us on Saturday, May 13, 2023 and have a RAD time raising money to help support families with a loved one walking the path of DIPG. DIPG stands for Diffused Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. DIPG is a fluid tumor located in the pons area of the brain. It typically attacks children ages 3-9. These children are given a standard life expectancy of 6-9 months without experimental treatment; up to a year with treatment. Our Abigail Lynn Bramlett fought this beast for 12 months from the date they diagnosed her til the day it took her from us. We at Abby's Joy want to help families going through this battle to no worry about work hours or bills, they need to be together. Our events provide funds for our monthly grant program along with operational expenses. The "Color Me Rad" race will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the corner of the 100 block of Main and State Streets on the Decatur Town Square in Decatur Tx. The Family Fun Run (1 Mile w/color) will begin at 8:00 AM and the 5K Color Run will begin at 8:30 AM. All Registrants will receive a bib. Register by April 21st to guarantee a shirt. Please wear whatever costume/attire you'd like, but make sure it's white. The color we are using is nontoxic powder and cleans up easily.
