Event Description
New Stanton UPS will be hosting a 5k Run/ Walk May 13th, 2023. For anyone that has participated in past 5k events at UPS, for 2023 the 5k has a new route because of an ongoing construction project on Westinghouse Rd. and Glen Fox Rd. The new route will start and end in the UPS employee parking lot. Registration and packet pickup will be in the UPS employee parking lot at 521 N. Center Ave. New Stanton, PA 15672 starting at 7am. The race start will be at 8am. The race starting line will be in the employee parking lot and will go out Ups Dr., right onto N. Center Ave., right onto Broadview Rd. almost all the way to the stop sign at Borough Line Road to turn around and come back to the starting/ finish line in the UPS employee parking lot. There will be a water station you will pass twice during the race, a little over the .5 mile mark, and then on the way back around 2.5 miles. This event benefits animal rescue. Any animal supply donations you would like to bring for the animals in rescue waiting to be adopted can be dropped off at the car show. Please join us for the Custom Car Show and refreshments after the race. There will be concessions, raffle drawings, and a DJ. Bring the whole family!!

Age Group Awards for Top 3 Runners: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ No awards will be mailed.

I know that running [volunteering for] a road race is potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health, and I am properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller skates or roller blades, animals, and headsets are not allowed in the race, and I will abide by this guideline. Having read this waiver knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release United Parcel Service, Inc. and all affiliates, and the borough of New Stanton, and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. Further, I grant permission to all the foregoing to use my name, voice, and images of myself in any photographs, motion pictures, results, publications or any other print, videographic or electronic recording of this event for legitimate purposes.
