Event Description

The Troutman Police Department and Troutman Fire & Rescue, in partnership with Troutman Parks & Recreation, will once again be hosting the 2nd Annual Red and Blue 5K on Saturday, May 20th at 7pm. The start and finish line of this race is at the Downtown Depot in Troutman- 137 S. Main St. This 5K is open to runners and walkers of all ages and experience levels. Each participant will receive a shirt and finisher's medal. $20 entry fee.

Proceeds from the race are divided between the charities of the Police Department and Fire & Rescue's choosing. The Police Department will be donating half of the proceeds to the First Responders Children's Foundation, which provides financial support to the families of first responders who have given their lives in the line of duty. Troutman Fire & Rescue will be donating the other half of the proceeds to the Firefighters' Burned Children's Fund, which provides support to burn survivors.
