CHECK-N/ REG - 8:00AM FOR METRIC HALF-CENTURY/MINI COVERED BRIDGE RIDES (Take off after mandatory safety briefing at 8:30am)
It's the 9th year of Bike Bedford County and we're celebrating with multiple ride options to explore the scenic ack roads and byways of the Bedford County region. All rides start and end at the beautiful Shawnee State Park in Schellsburg, with participants choosing from multiple ride options for all ages and skill levels:
Allegheny Ascent Metric Century (68 miles) - This is our most challenging ride option, which includes more than 6,000 feet of climbing and some wonderful down-hill payoffs. Explore the Allegheny Mountains through this NEW IN 2022 route inlcuding Blue Knob, Pennsylvania's highest skiiable mountain, as well as Brumbaugh and Sproul Mountains, among other highlights. Shaded climbs, amazing vistas, beautiful farms and forests showcase rural PA at its best.
Ascent/Covered Bridge Hybrid Metric Century Ride: 62 miles of rolling hills as well as the beautiful scenery of a combination of our our Ascent and Covered Bridge rides - the distance without the extreme climbing.
Covered Bridge Cycling Tour: Metric Half-Century that includes 5 covered bridges, farmland, forests, and more. Beautiful scenery with just a couple of challening hills. Extend this intermediate ride by an additional 4 miles to catch one more covered bridge (32 and 36 mile options.)

Schedule for the Day (NO REGISTRATIONS BEFORE 7:30AM)
7:30am - Metric Century Rides Check In/Register (take off by 8am)
8:00am - Metric Half-Century Ride Registration Opens
8:00am - Covered Bridge Mandatory Meeting followed by departure
Sag wagon support, rest stops with snacks and beverages, restroom facilities, post-ride lunch. T-shirt for all who register by August 26th
Parking: Shawnee State Park lot 2 (main parking lot near boat launch.)
All registrants must sign waiver online or during registration.
RAIN DATE: Sunday, Septmber 17th. No refunds. Be aware it many be foggy during the early morning hours at Shawnee State Park.
