Event Description

Join the Greenwood Mennonite School & The Seashore Striders for their annual Delmarva Dirt Dash 5k Run-Walk-Crawl.  This event is open to anyone 12 years and older.  You may compete as an individual or as a member of a four(4) person Team.  We hope you can join us for this exciting event.

 

RACE LOCATION: 12802 Mennonite School Road;  Greenwood, DE. 19950

 

RACE TIME:  9 a.m.

  • This event will feature waves of 20p-25p beginning at 9 a.m. and going off every 3-4 minutes.  This format will allow participants to get through the obstacle's with limited backup.  We will leadoff with a team wave and follow it with a wave of participants under 20 minutes for a 5k.   Following those two groups we will proceed with waves of 20-25 participants per wave.

 

  • RACE REGISTRATION for Individual 5k & Team 5k
    • $40.00 Early-Registration through Sunday, May 28th at midnight
    • $50.00 Race Week from Monday, May 29th through Friday, June 2nd at 6 pm
    • $60.00 Race Day June 3rd  Registration from 7:00 am - 8:30 am
      • If you plan to register on race-day, please be on time.   We can not register anyone after 8:30 am as we will be lining up our waves to start the event.

        • Please fill out the form completely & neatly double checking Age, Gender, Entry Fee Price & Event Choice.

          • Please mail by promptly so that we receive your application by Monday of Race Week to be guaranteed an event t-shirt/swag.

TEAM DIVISION

  • Participants have the option to form a team of four with any combination of gender.   Each Team Member must still register individually.  If you are racing as a TEAM you can still be included in the 5k Individual Age Group Awards.
  • THERE WILL BE NO TEAM REGISTRATION ON RACE-DAY...TEAMS MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED FOR THIS EVENT.
  • Teams will be in the fist few waves.
  • Awards will go to the top 3 team finishers

RACE COURSE:  3.1 mile loop course featuring 18 obstacle's which will test your physical endurance & strength. 

 

RACE TIMING: Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using the Chronotrack chip timing system.

 

RACE AMENITIES: 

  • Short Sleeve 100% Pre-Shrunk Cotton Race shirts guaranteed to all PRE-Registered participants by 5/29/23...register early!   Refreshments, Post-Race Awards Celebration and Greenwood Mennonite School Spring Fair following the race.

 

AWARDS: 

  • 5k Individual Awards...Overall Male & Female, Master Male & Female, and top 3 finishers in the following age groups:
    • 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 & O
    • Participants MUST be 12 years of age to participate in the event.   Thank You! 
  • 5k Team Awards...Top 3 Teams 
    • Teams do not need to finish together
    • The 4 Team members will have their times added together for their official race time.

 

RACE PARKING:  Parking will be in the field just north of the school.   Please follow the direction of our Parking Officials.

 

REFUNDS/DEFERRAL:  The Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy, however we make every possible attempt to please our client with the following options:  1. Transfer to a future Seashore Strider owned event of equal value before the end of the current year.   2. Donate your entry fee to the charity associated with the event or to the Seashore Strider Youth Running program.  3. Transfer/Defer to the following year at the same event.  Thank You for your cooperation & understanding as some situations are beyond the control of the Seashore Striders.
