Event Description

Come run the iconic Spiral Drive Run in beautiful Salida, Colorado. The Spiral Drive Run is a 4-mile dirt road race up to the top of Spiral Drive and then back down. The race consists of 2 miles of uphill, gaining ~500' and giving participants spectacular views of Salida and the Arkansas River Valley. Participants then run downhill the same way they came up. Participants have 75 minutes to complete the run. There will be water and trash at the top of S Mountain, at the 2-mile point as well as the start/finish. Portable toilets are located in the F Street parking lot near the start/finish.

Bib pickup is Saturday 2-6pm at 7000' Running Company, 140 W 1st street, Unit A, Salida CO 81201. Race day pickup and signup will be available from 8:00-8:45am at the race start at the base of S Mountain. Race day signups must bring cash or check only. 

The race starts and finishes at the base of Tenderfoot hill, or S Mountain as the locals call it, and then runs to the top and back. All finishers will receive a finisher award. Below is the course map:

This event is organized by the Chaffee County Running Club and is sponsored by 7000 Feet Running Company. CCRC is excited to bring back this race, the last time was pre-covid era of 2019.
