Event Description

Welcome to the 3rd Annual Blackhorse Sprint Triathlon!

All Fort Irwin Service Members, Families, and Civilians 17 years and older are invited to attend. The race begins at Constitution Park on Fort Irwin, California June 3rd at 7:00 a.m.

5k Run

20k Bike

200m Swim

The race will be conducted in reverse sprint triathlon format (run, bike, swim) beginning at Constitution Park and concluding at Oasis Pool. Locker rooms will be available to change into and out of swimwear. The award ceremony will be conducted at 1100 at Constitution Park following the conclusion of the race. MWR-approved home-based businesses, music, snacks, music, and a bouncy house will be available at the park for Families and supporters to enjoy. The Triathlon is generously supported by the Blackhorse Association.

1st Place Teams*

*Teams consist of three individuals, one of whom will complete each event. Official times will be recorded for the entire triathlon and will not include split times for each event. Those individuals interested in registering as a team please contact the one of the following individuals:

9:00 a.m. May 31st to 5:00 p.m. June 2nd: Early pickup of race packets available at 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment Staff Duty (Starry Hall at the Intersection of 5th and B Ave)

5:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. June 3rd: On-site Registration at Constitution Park

6:30 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. June 3rd: Opening Remarks

6:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. June 3rd: Transition to Starting Point

7:00 a.m. until complete June 3rd: Race Start

11:00 a.m. June 3rd: Award Ceremony
