Event Description

The North Bend Run Squad, sponsored by the NBES PTA, is an opportunity for students to run for fitness and fun, while learning about proper stretching and running techniques.  Participants will learn to keep a positive attitude, work hard, and set goals, while making new friends.

Students do not need to be "runners" or play a sport to participate. We will begin each session with stretching and warmup exercises, followed by a quick talk about the goal of that day's session. We will create an environment where all children are supported and encouraged regardless of how far or fast they can run. Groups will incorporate, walking, jogging, sprinting, and different games to keep all children engaged.
