Walk For Blind Independence
Join us for our ‘First’ Walk For Blind Independence on Saturday September 23, 2023. The Walk For Blind Independence supports Lions Services mission: Empowering people who are blind to achieve personal and economic independence by providing them with vocational rehabilitation and employment opportunities.
The Walk is not only a fundraising event, but also a CELEBRATION of the entire community coming together to improve the lives of people who are blind and visually impaired promoting independence. Come make a difference! By participating in this event, you support; accessible devices that are needed for the creation of blind friendly jobs at Lions Services!
After the walk is finished all participants and volunteers are welcome to stay and enjoy the day at the White-Water Center! Participants and volunteers will have access to 3 Pavilions during the walk and immediately after with music and giveaways. (Whitewater Center activities are not included in walk registration)
Registered participants will receive a t-shirt and parking is included in your registration. Show your registration at the gate.
The recreational 3K walk is un-timed. The race is for EVERYONE to participate, we will have volunteer guides available.
REFUND & WEATHER POLICY: Race registration is non-refundable. This race will run rain or shine unless there is severe weather such as thunderstorms, heavy and persistent rain etc. Should we cancel, you will be notified via social media, our website and email. Should we cancel, there will be no refunds as that money has already been put toward the race.
Sleep in- If you are unable to attend that day consider signing up to support our mission. $25 (No T-shirt for sleep in option)
RACE DAY LATE REGISTRATION ON September 23RD: $40.00 –Shirt not guaranteed if registration is on the day of from 8:00am to 8:30am only.
