Event Description

At New York Cancer and Blood Specialist's we are so excited for our first annual 5k run! Participants come to this fun family event to be active and shine their light in the community for those in need. Come together in your brightest outfit decked out in colorful glow sticks to shine your light with us! An electrifying night for a worthy cause!

Let's bring the community together for an inspirational night run/walk to make a positive impact by raising awareness and all proceeds for this event will be going to the New York Cancer Foundation. The New York Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization which offers financial assistance grants for non-medical expenses to qualifying patients who are under care for a cancer diagnosis in the Greater Metro Area (within the counties of New York City, as well as Nassau & Suffolk). The Foundation strives to relieve some of the financial burden patients face so they may focus on their treatment and healing.

This run is sure to be a fun evening with an exciting theme and for a good cause. We plan to have live music, refreshments and medals for top finishers. A free tank top will be given out to every participant. Join us for our black light after party with a DJ and glowsticks!!
