Event Description

"The Buddy Walk® was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down Syndrome. Since then the Buddy Walk® has become known as the premier advocacy event for Down Syndrome in the United States. It is also the world’s most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community." - NDSS

This year DSNOCC is proud to announce "See Me For Me" as our annual theme.

This campaign is geared towards building an inclusive community in our counties by having those in our community see our loved ones for who they are beyond a diagnosis. An inclusive community is one of unity. We have a vision of breaking the stigma surrounding our loved ones and showing the community who they really are. Once you remove the diagnosis you see dancers, singers, debaters, chefs, care takers, painters, people with real aspirations. A community of inclusion will help our loved ones reach those aspirations and so much more.

Please gather your families and join us for this years DSNOCC Buddy Walk®! Every step you take helps us provide programs and activities for our members. Come FUNdraise with us at your own pace but more importantly have fun with like minded members of our fantastic community!

**** If additional support is needed please sign up on the Ainsley's Angels website for our event so they can provide accessibility for the color run. ****
