HELP PCTR GET TO 125 FINISHERS AT THE HEADLANDS 100K. Meeting this goal will allow for us to qualify for consideration to become a Western States 100M Endurance Run qualifier. Our
Pacific Coast Trail Runs, established in 2000, presents the 16th annual Headlands Endurance Runs, featuring the 100K distance - a new era for Headlands ultrarunning. After 15 years of the Headlands Hundred Mile Endurance Runs (Marathon to 150 Mile distances) operating with superior safety protocol and no issues, one of our runners was aggressively taken down by a coyote around 3am during the event. Since the incident last summer, and numerous meetings with the National Park Service, they (NPS) have decided to not allow any "over night racing" again in the Marin Headlands, Muir Beach, Stinson Beach and the surrounding area that makes up the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. We are now proud to produce the Headlands 100K in its place.
We will be offering the Rodeo Beach 50K and 30K Trail Runs on the same day. Rodeo Beach Trail Run will no longer happen in December as it had for years. You can register for the Rodeo Beach Trail Run here: https://runsignup.com/Race/CA/Sausalito/RodeoBeachTrailRun

The Headlands 100K will start and finish at the Rodeo Beach Picnic Area as both the Headlands Endurance Runs and Rodeo Beach Trail Run have started and finished for more than 20 years. The course will consist of two different 50K loops - the first loop will be clockwise and the 2nd loop will be the same loop in the counterclockwise direction.

Distance*****: 100K or 62.4 miles.
Elevation Gain*****: 12,824 feet of elevation gain.
Start time: 4am
Time Limit: 17 hours (16:24 min/mile pace)
End time: 9pm
Cut-off #1 @ Rodeo Beach: Noon (8 hours to complete the first 50K Loop or 15:24 min/mile pace)
Cut-off #2 @ Tennessee Valley: 4:30pm (12.5 hours to complete 46.7 miles or 16:06 min/mile pace)
