Event Description
5K Run/Walk on a portion of the beautiful Bald Eagle Valley Trail, just outside of McElhattan Pa. This 5K Run/Walk will benefit the Infant Development Program, INC of Lock Haven, PA, in all that they do for the children and families of Clinton County. Directions to the start/finish lines will be found below.
Infant Developments Program Philosophy: Every child has the right to achieve his or her potential- physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. It is for us then as Early Intervention Providers and P.A.C.T. Parenting Providers to assist the child and family in maximizing those potentials. We will view the child as unique and integrate all realms of development in a comprehensive program. Families are recognized as the primary social unit for promoting children's development, and professionals are most effective when they actively support the family. Both bring diverse knowledge and skills to the working relations. Mutual support is the primary goal. We respect the family's control over choices and decisions they make. Ultimately, what affects the family affects the child. Therefore, we advocate for family involvement in the program and are available to assist the family in times of crisis. We celebrate all children and their families. We aim to build on family strengths by developing skills and resources. It is the intention of the program to inspire parents to become the best possible advocate for meeting the unique needs of the child and family. All services are provided and admission/referrals are made without regard to race, color, religious creed, ancestry, sex, sexual preference, disability, age, or national origin.
