Event Description

The 10th annual Nicholas Fillinger Memorial Run will be held on July 15, 2023 on the beautiful campus of St. Bernard Prep School in Cullman, Alabama.  Nicholas died tragically in a training accident in September 2013.  St. Bernard was one of his favorite places to run.  This run honors his memory with a run in one of his favorite places but also provides a team challenge (minimum of 5 runners but may be coed).  Nicholas loved the team aspect of cross-country.  The best way to honor his memory is to form a team and come compete.

The run benefits the Nicholas Fillinger Foundation.  The Nicholas Fillinger Foundation does education for high school and college athletes on proper training, provides an educational scholarship for a graduating senior, and ministers to orphans and children rescued from human trafficking.  This year's proceeds will once again help the "Not Forgotten" orphanage in Iquitos, Peru as well as other orphanages.
