Event Description
Last Chance Ranch (LCR) is a large rescue facility located in the rural area of Quakertown. The rescue has been in operation since 1999. LCR originally started as an equine rescue, but ultimately became a rescue for both large and small animals. At any given time there can be as many as 150 animals at this facility.
Two Rivers Brewery Tap is hosting Pints for Pups at the Taproom on August 19th and every beer that is purchased, a percentage will go to LCR. This is an all- day event and LCR will have some dogs from the ranch there for part of the day. Pints for Pups is a not-for-profit event benefitting local animal shelters and animal rescue organizations. Pints For Pups brings together beer and dog lovers.
In conjunction with Pints For Pups, Last Chance Race is having a 5K Pints For Pups Beer Run, with all proceeds going to the ranch. Two Rivers Brewery is giving each runner over the age of 21 a free beer after each runner has finished the race so make sure you keep your bib as that will be your ticket for the free beer. Doan Distillery is also offering each runner a Quakerade beverage for those who do not want a beer. You will be given a choice of one or the other. Both bars are located inside the Trolley Barn building and are open to the public at noon time.
The race follows roads through Quakertown neighborhoods. No roads will be closed. Runners need to exercise appropriate caution when on the roads. Most street crossings will be manned by LCR volunteers.
*Parking can be found on the streets of Quakertown as well as behind the Trolley Barn building, however, please do not park behind the train station, as parking is being reserved for an event at the historical train station.
