Event Description

Law enforcement has teamed up with Safe Harbor Children's Advocacy Center to host our Fifth annual Badges and Bravery 5k. During this race, civilian racers have a head start and will have the opportunity to run from law enforcement/first responders after escaping jail. Law enforcement and other first responders need to catch up and "catch" the escapees. This is a very community friendly event. Civilian runners can choose to wear a touch football belt during the race. If law enforcement/first responders pull your flag, the civilian runner will continue the race. Civilian runners are not required to participate in wearing a touch football belt.

After the race join us for a chili cookoff between law enforcement and first responders.  Family fun for all ages!

Sign up now for Safe Harbor's Badges and Bravery 5k to see if you are able to run faster than law enforcement! Your registration includes sign up fee, T-shirt, and a finishing medal.  Each finishing medal is unique as they are individually designed by children participating in therapy at Safe Harbor.

Registration starts at 8:00am on the day of the race.

All proceeds from the event will provide a lifeline to victims of child abuse and neglect. If you sign up to run after 9/15/2023, we cannot guarantee shirt size availability.
