Join us for the Not Without A Fight 5k & 15k ~ Run, Walk or Cycle.

Location: Homestead Trail in Pickrell, NE
You can choose from a 5K run/walk (3.1 miles) heading North on the Homestead Trail, or a 15k bike ride which will head South on the Homestead Trail. Each event is an out and back. We will begin and end in front of the Pickrell Tavern.
About the Not Without A Fight 5k & 15k
This run/walk/cycle is set up to benefit Andy Wassom, who was diagnosed with ALS on March 22, 2023, and would become a day that Andy and his family will never forget.
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is an unforgiving disease that causes motor neurons inside the spinal cord to die. Following this, the muscles degenerate, and you become a prisoner inside your body, progressively losing the ability to move, speak, swallow, and eventually breathe. The cause of this debilitating disease is still unknown and without a cure.
ALS is a huge financial burden. Taking a shower, driving, or taking a stroll in the park... things we often take for granted become impossible without proper equipment, wheelchairs, and mobility vans. The inability to live life to its fullest should not be a financial burden. Your support, prayers, and donations are deeply appreciated.
After the race, you can enjoy a chilled drink in the bar/beer garden and food from a local food truck. It will be filled with music, where you can connect with other participants, share your experiences, and take part in a Silent Auction with 100% of the proceeds going to Andy and his fight against ALS.
