Event Description

The Guale Preserve Endurance Run (GPER) is a three and six hour timed loop experience on the trail around the Guale Preserve located on St Simons Island, GA.  This run will take place on New Years Day 2024!  We can't think of a better way to ring in the new year!  The concept is simple.  Choose to run either for three hours or six.  Run as many laps as you can.  The trail at the preserve is a mixture of single track and natural paths.

Guale Preserve is a wilderness preserve owned by the St. Simons Land Trust, Inc., and is open to the public daily. No portion of the fee is paid to the St. Simons Land Trust, Inc., or its affiliates, and no part of the fee is a payment for access to Guale Preserve, which is open to the public without charge. 

Important Information:

Race Date:  January 1st, 2024

Where: Guale Preserve-110 Lawrence Rd-St Simons Island, GA 31522

Time:  Three hour and Six hour run start at 8am

Trail distance: 1.25 miles.  Runners will run on Polly's Trail Loop and the Ancient Dune Trail.

Field is limited to 100 runners.  Race fees:

Three hour         -$65
Six hour             -$95

​IF spots are available on race day the fees are as follows:

Three hour   -$80
Six hour       -$110

Runners UNDER 18 are not allowed.

Aid will be available at the start/finish and will include hydration and food products.  More information will be available closer to race date.

Limited parking at the preserve.  Parking information will be updated as we approach race day.

Awards for whomever completes the most laps.  Award for whomever completes the least.

All runners will receive a sweet T and other swag.
