Event Description

Join us for our Annual City of the Sun 5K Trail Run Fundraiser. This 5K run winds through trails and paths not often taken by Visitors. Surround yourself in the natural and cultural landscape of Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site while competing for a cause.

ALL PROCEEDS FUND COMMUNITY OUTREACH EVENTS & EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AT CAHOKIA MOUNDS STATE HISTORIC SITE!

• Start Time:
• Race begins at 9AM 

• Packet Pickup:
• Nov. 9 in Interpretive Center Lobby OR
• 8AM morning of race in Interpretive Center Lobby

• Awards:
• Overall Male & Female
• 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each division

• Divisions:
• 19 & Under
• 20-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60-69
• 70 & Up

• Timing:
• Provided by Toolen's Running Start - Shiloh, IL

• Parking:
• Is free and available in main lot

• Yoga/Stretching:
• Limitless Chiropractics will provide pre & post-run muscle work.
• Riv Kane will lead a yoga session at 8AM, one-hour before the race, in the Interpretive Center Lobby. 

• Featured Snack:
• Gus' Pretzels will be available after the race.
