Event Description

Join us for the Helping Hands Half Marathon, 5K, and a 1-Mile Fun Run in Florence, AL.

Bank Independent's Helping Hands Program was founded in 2011 following the devastating April 27 tornado outbreak.  The program has since grown into the Helping Hands Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors across the communities we serve.  Our commitment to giving back has only grown stronger over the years, driven by our founders' belief that "a rising tide lifts all boats."  That's why we're proud to partner with and support local organizations, teams, and efforts that align with Bank Independent's Mission and Values.  

Our event will take place at the Marriott Conference Center, which is located at 10 Hightower Place, Florence, Alabama 35630.  Parking is available on-site.  

Packets will be available for pickup on Friday, October 25th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and on Race Day from 5:30am to 6:30am.  

7:00 am          Half Marathon start.  You will have 3.5 hours to complete the race.
7:10 am          5K start.  You will have 1 hour to complete the race.  
8:00 am          1-Mile Fun Run start.  Feel free to wear your costumes!  
~8:15 am       5K Award Ceremony will begin as soon as last 5K runner crosses finish line and costume contest winners will be announced immediately after.  
~9:45 am      Half Marathon Award Ceremony will begin as soon as last Half runner crosses finish line.
