Event Description

The annual Pine Knoll Shores Family Fishing Tournament will be held on September 23, 2023.

The tournament is open to residents of Pine Knoll Shores, their family members (including grandchildren), and town employees. 

Participants must hook and line fish from the surf or shore, a pier or a boat. Persons 13 years and older will participate in the adult tournament. Those 16 years and older will need a North Carolina saltwater fishing license. Winners are determined by weight in each category and trophies will be presented to the winners of each category.

As an inshore tournament, fish that may be entered are limited to legal size in each category of Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Blue Fish, Red Drum, Black Drum, Flounder. Pin Fish will be included in the kids’ tournament only.
                             
Kids weigh-in:     12:00 – 1:00 pm
Adult weigh-in:      4:00 – 5:00 pm

The tournament starts at 6 a.m. and weigh-in begins at 4 p.m. at McNeill Park for 13 years and older and will close at 5:00 p.m.

The kids’ tournament is for all kids 12 and under. An adult must accompany children during this event and at weigh-in. Life jackets will be available for use during the tournament while fishing near the park water. 
 
Registration is $10 for anyone 13 and up. Kids under 12 are free but still need to register.  All registrants get a free t-shirt.  

Please register by choosing one of the options above based on the age of the child's age that is participating.

Participants can also register by picking up a registration form at the PKS police station lobby or from the PKS Town website.  

Completed registrations, along with the $10.00 registration fee will be collected when you register at this website. Or, if you have picked up a registration form you can also return it to the Public Safety Building Admin Desk located at 314 Salter Path Rd. (Payments may be made with cash or check, made out to Town of PKS)

**Registration must be received by September 18, 2023, to qualify for weigh-in**
