Event Description
The Beat Bama Run Fest is a COLOR RUN on November 3, 2024 benefiting the Food Bank of East Alabama. Participants have the opportunity to take part in either a 5K race (4:30 pm) or a one-mile fun run (4:00 pm), making it accessible to a wide range of fitness levels. The event is not only focused on promoting physical activity but also on contributing to the community by supporting those in need.
Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable goods to donate to the Food Bank of East Alabama. The food bank has specified critical items that are needed, including proteins, canned meat, canned fish (such as tuna or salmon), canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned soup, dry pasta, breakfast items (including cereal), 100% fruit juice, and paper and personal products like toothpaste, soap, and toilet paper. This emphasis on giving back adds a meaningful layer to the event and encourages participants to contribute to a worthy cause.
All participants will receive a white t-shirt for the 5K Color Run! It's worth noting that the registration fee may increase on the day of the event, so participants are encouraged to register in advance to secure their spot and potentially save on the registration cost. Online registration is available, with a deadline set for Wednesday at Midnight on October 30, 2024. This allows participants to conveniently sign up ahead of time and plan their participation accordingly.
During the event, participants can look forward to a well-placed water stop to help them stay hydrated along the route. Additionally, at the end of the race, there will be refreshments available to replenish energy and celebrate the completion of the race.
The event isn't just focused on the main race; there is also a strong emphasis on making it a family-friendly experience. Children's entertainment will be provided, adding an element of fun and engagement for young participants.
In summary, the Beat Bama Run Fest is a charity race with a clear focus on community engagement, fitness, and philanthropy. Participants have the option to choose between a 5K race and a one-mile fun run, and they are encouraged to bring non-perishable goods for donation to the Food Bank of East Alabama. The event includes elements like registration, merchandise, water stops, refreshments, and children's entertainment, making it a comprehensive and enjoyable experience for participants of all ages.
