Event Description

A walk honoring the one and only Jerry Fourie! Jerry has done so much for the Pleasanton community, specifically in the area of sports and he was/is truly one of the best there ever will be. Walk participants will loop the Pleasanton Sports Complex to honor him and cherish the memories we had both on and off the softball field. Please join us on December 16, 2023 for the 2 mile walk (route here).

There will be light refreshments post-walk. The walk and refreshments are free of charge; however, if you would like to make a donation in honor of Jerry Fourie, please donate to the Pleasanton Girls Softball League: The Jerry Fourie Scholarship Fund, a scholarship fund created by his immediate family.

Shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and onesies for the walk are also available for purchase on Lauren Fourie’s (Jerry's daughter) shop, Bright Ideas Crew. All proceeds will be donated to the Pleasanton Girls Softball League: The Jerry Fourie Scholarship Fund.

Parking will be available in the two lots off of Parkside Drive that are closest to Hopyard. The rest of the lots east of those parking lots will be inaccessible as fields are closed during the winter.

The walk will conclude at 11am but all are invited to The Hopyard after where a portion of all beers purchased will be donated to The Jerry Fourie Scholarship Fund.
