Event Description
Finally, a program designed to get adult skate skiers faster, smoother, more comfortable on all sorts of terrain. If you are an Ice Badger parent, drop your kids with their group and head out with us. No Ice Badger kids? Even easier, just meet us at 4:45ish and head out to ski.
Here is the basic plan. Meet up on Mondays and Wednesdays for some structured group training and skills clinics and some one-on-one technique work. Both days we’ll have a workout on tap. We’ll send skiers on their way with one or two instructors to offer guidance and help. One of the days there is a clinic option. For skiers that are in IB for the training group aspect, they may decide not to do the clinic and go off to do the workout. For those that are in IB primarily to become more proficient skiers, they do the clinic. Some skiers would clinic every week, some might do them occasionally, others might never do one.
We’ll tailor workouts to several of the popular Nordic ski races. First up is the Seeley Lake OSCR (50k, 20k, or 10k) on January 27th. Next comes the West Yellowstone Rendezvous (Skate or Classic, various distances) on March 2nd. In addition to the clinics and workouts, we’re happy to help put together a basic training plan for these events and others.
