Event Description

Its back! The Rockville Great Santa 5k is happening on Saturday, December 2nd at 3 pm! This is an untimed, fun-run to get everyone into the holiday fitness spirit as a part of MainStreet Rockville's Hometown Holidays parade and tree lighting event. All levels of walkers, joggers and runners are welcome to join us. There are many things to look forward to:

• While not a timed race, there will be cash prizes for the top three male and female finishers ($150/$100/$50 respectively).
• Wear your best run-friendly holiday spirit wear or costumes - prizes will be awarded at the tree lighting ceremony at 6:30pm.
• This is an open course meaning roads are not necessarily closed. You are responsible for obeying all traffic laws and regulations. The course will be marked and there will be volunteers along the way with water stations to help steer participants.
• Walkers are encouraged to participate.
• Each participant needs to register and sign a waiver to participate.
• There are two registration levels - one is with a long sleeve t-shirt and the other without. Be sure to check the right one!
• The long sleeve race t-shirt is a high quality Bella Canvas brand.
• Our course will start and finish on the northeast corner of the square and the route will take you through residential downtown Rockville.
• This is a non-refundable race. If your plans change or unforeseen circumstances keep the event from happening, we thank you for your support of MainStreet Rockville. If you register at the $40 level, you will still receive your long-sleeve t-shirt.
• Registration opens at 2 pm, runners start at 3 pm, and walkers will go at 3:15pm
