Event Description
Winter 2023/2024 Half Marathon Training in Apex is brought to you by Triangle Run Smart Training, presented by Pace Yourself Run Company and The Running PTs.
The class is 12 weeks long and is geared toward helping adults train for a half marathon: be it their first or as a veteran runner looking to improve their race time. All levels and paces are welcome!
The class will include a detailed daily plan over the 12 weeks, with 2 coached group runs per week, suggested cross-training & strength training, and Saturday group long runs. The coached group runs are in person, though this class can be done virtually when you miss: all info will be provided on the group run & route ahead of time so that trainees can run separately at another time if they need to.
Cost of the class is $75 if you register by 12/10. Registration cost from 12/11 - 1/7/24 is $80. Deadline to register is 1/7/24.

Cost includes: 12-week training schedule, 2 coach-led group run workouts per week, email access to the coach throughout the program, 20% off discount at Pace Yourself Run Company (some restrictions apply), training class shirt, in-class/virtual seminars on running-related topics, strength training plan, coach-led Saturday group long runs, discounted 3D run gait analysis ($275 for trainees vs $350 regular price), at The Running PTs (call ahead to schedule), and weekly tips and running information from your coach and The Running PTs to supplement your knowledge.

Program dates: December 17, 2023 - March 17, 2024, (no class the week of 12/24). Group training will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:15PM, and there are group long runs with all winter adult classes on Saturdays at 7:30AM. The class will meet on Mondays at Hunter Street Park (1250 Ambergate Station, Apex, NC 27502), and on Wednesdays at Holly Grove Middle School track (1401 Avent Ferry Road, Holly Springs 27540). Saturday run locations vary weekly and rotate throughout the Triangle area.
