Program Summary – Flying Feet, coordinated by coach Dave Griffin, is a running program for runners of all paces and experience levels. Griffin has over 45 years of running experience and over 20 years of experience coaching runners. Flying Feet brings the training principles used by elite runners to the local running community. Though some modification is needed for most runners, the principles of running success and enjoyment are universal, and local runners can gain significant benefits by using them.
Winter-Spring Season – This is a 21-week season beginning the week of Monday, January 1st and going through the week of Monday, May 20th. Participants may join for the entire 21-week program or for a 10-week winter program.
Training Plans – A variety of training plans will be provided so that all runners have a plan to use, whether they are new to running or an experienced marathoner. The plans will include instructions to help runners get started, and guidance is provided throughout the program. Weekly workouts are communicated for the coming week via email update.
Coached Workouts in Westminster and Littlestown – Weekly coached workouts will be offered. Each workout will be planned so that runners receive the training benefits required to make running more enjoyable and to reach racing related goals. In addition to the workout itself, instruction will be provided to help runners learn the fundamental concepts of training. Runners will have the option of meeting for workouts on Tuesday evening in Littlestown, Wednesday evening in Westminster, or doing workouts remotely on their own. Coached workouts every third Saturday will also be offered.
Club Races and Time Trials – For those who would like to participate, club races and time trials will be held. These will serve as key workouts during the season and give participants the opportunity to practice race tactics and work on race-day mindset.
Flying Feet Remote Program – Flying Feet offers a remote training program for those who are out of the area or who prefer to do workouts on their own. Participants of the remote program can run in Flying Feet races and may attend up to 5 coached workouts during the season.
Weekly Zoom Calls - Zoom calls are held every Monday at 6:00. Workouts are explained for those who need to do the workouts on their own, and a variety of running topics are discussed. These calls are recorded for those who wish to view them but who cannot attend.
Coach/Runner Zoom Calls – While coach Dave Griffin is available at workouts and via email, some runners may like to have additional opportunities to work one on one. For this reason, coach consult Zoom calls will be available for an additional price. These options require a separate registration but are included on this site.
Shirts – A name brand long-sleeve performance shirt with the Flying Feet logo will be available for purchase at registration.

· $105 - 10-week winter only registration (with option to join for the remaining 11 weeks of the season for an additional $105)
