Starts at the stoplight between the East and West campuses on 129th St. North, runs through nearby neighborhoods and ends on the Owasso High Stadium. 

8:30am - One Mile Fun Run

9:00am - 5K

AWARDS     

All 5K participants will receive a finishing prize! Special 5K awards will be given in the following age groups: 8 and under, 9-11,12-14 , 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-24, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 70 and up.

Friday, April 19th, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Owasso High School Main Entrance (enter parking lot from 86th St. North).

RACE DAY PACKET PICK UP    

7:30 to 8:30am race morning near the start line outside of the Owasso High School Stadium at the 129th St. North entrance.

FUN

Run to the Beat is a festive 5K starting at the high school winding through the area with color guard flags spinning, refreshing drinks and snacks served along the way, a drum-line to motivate any participant and a grand finish in the Owasso Stadium!  This run gives the full benefit of any other sanctioned 5K but comes with entertaining gratitude from those benefiting from your support!

PURPOSE

Run to the Beat benefits the Owasso Band Program. The Owasso Band Program has a long history of excellence. Students learn that good behavior and citizenship are the driving force behind the success of the band. Without these things it is impossible to reach maximum potential as a musician. The Owasso Band program's commitment is to help children develop life skills through the art of music. Among these skills are discipline, citizenship, responsibility, and leadership. We also hope to create a love and understanding of music through performance, preferably top-notch performance, which we will last a lifetime.

COMMUNITY

Run to the Beat 5K and Fun Run has been part of the Owasso community for over a decade! Owasso Bands is a recipient of the kind generosity of Owasso and surrounding community and this run is no exception!  We want to continue this tradition as a way to give back to our community by offering an opportunity to promote good health and togetherness to a wide range of participants...young and old, novice and pro, walkers and runners, residents and non-residents, the list goes on!  Owasso Bands also appreciates this opportunity to reflect the generous kindness or our community to all those that enter!
