The 2024 runSWEETelite 5K Training Runs presented by runSWEETelite will begin in January 2024! Join us on Saturdays at 7 AM at the Sweetwater City Track. The training runs are intended for anyone looking for community as they work on their fitness. We want to bring the fun, excitement, and camaraderie of training for a race to Sweetwater. This program is being led by experienced runners and is open to everyone. The 2024 program is geared for runners and walkers and is completely free. 
Free Group Training runs for everyone!  Runners of all levels are welcome to participate in the suggested weekly long runs. Runners and walkers alike are invited.  In January, the group will meet on Saturday mornings at 7 AM at the Sweetwater City Track. Run locations & times are subject to change. WEEK 1 Day 1: 12 X 40 second run with 1 min. walk recovery
 Day 2: 10 X 1 min run with 1 min walk recovery
Day 3: 10-12 minute slow jog
 WEEK 2 Day 1: 6 X 90 second run with 1-2 min. walk recovery
Day 2: 12-15 minute slow jog
Day 3: 7 x 90 sec run with 1-2 min walk recovery
 WEEK 3 Day 1: 6 X 2 min run with 2 min. walk recovery
Day 2: 15-20 minute slow jog
Day 3: 6X2 min run with 2 min. walk recovery
 WEEK 4 Day 1: 4 X 3 minute run with 2 min. walk recovery

Packet/Bib Pickup 
Race Morning: 
Packet & Bib pickup will be available from 5:30-6:40 AM on race morning at the Sweetwater Gazebo on mainstreet.

Race Shirts
Availabilty:
Racers are encouraged to register before March to ensure a t-shirt. Runners will receive a t-shirt as supplies last. 
 

Race Etiquette:
 Racers who plan to have strollers and dogs are encouraged to start at the back of the group to ensure all racers have adequate room. Roller blades and bicycles are not allowed. The use of headphones and other personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this event. To enjoy all that the event has to offer and for the safety of all participants, RSE encourages a headphone-free environment during our events. Runner safety has always been, and will continue to be, a top priority for our events. Please be mindful of the other participants and respect the race personnel to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone.

There are no refunds or deferments for this event.
