Event Description

The 18th Annual Triathlon will again feature the friendly Swedish communities of the Chisago Lakes Area. Paradise Park offers an eagle eye’s view of the swim course. Half, Olympic, Sprint, Aqua-Bike and Relay distances.

7 a.m. Start
We encoourage you to get there by 6 a.m. for parking, reack your bike and transition closes at 6:30 a.m.

DISTANCE
   Sprint: 1/4 mile swim, 15 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
   Olympic 3/4 mile swim 25 mile bike, 6 mile run 
       Olympic: Aqua Bike   
   Half: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13 mile run
       Half: Aqua-Bike 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike

   Relay Teams- in all distances and can be done as a 2 or 3 person team

 KID'S TRIATHLON
       Age 5-6: 50 ft. swim; .6 mile bike, .15 mile run
       Age 7-8: 100 ft. swim; 1 mile bike; .3 mile run
       Age 9-10: 200 ft. swim; 1 mile bike; .3 mile run.

The Chisago Lakes Triathlon will again feature the friendly Swedish communities of the Chisago Lakes Area. Paradise Park offers an eagle eye’s view of the swim course.

The swim is at beautiful Paradise Park at Chisago Lake in Chisago City. Buoys mark the course. Keep the buoys to your right as you swim. 

The bike course is new: few rollers, mainly flat. Bottle exchanges at mile 25 and 47. Please stay to your LEFT when entering the tunnel from either direction. 

The run goes through charming residential streets with community support and several water stations. All run courses follow residential roads. Sprint Turnaround is at the school, Olympic turn around just after mile 3 on 275th St. Half turnaround on Chisago Blvd at Maxwell Rd. 

Both the run and bike course have multiple aid stations with gels, simple carbs, sports drink, and water. 

Participants receive a finisher medal, swim cap, age group awards, and food after the event. 

The run course will have a water/gatorade stop with simple carbs every 2  miles. 

 


Half Swim cut off 80 minutes
Half Bike cut off 3 hours 40 minutes
Half Run cut off 3 hours
Cut off times begin at the start of your wave

RULES

1. Swim caps must be worn which we will be providing.
2. Helmets must be worn.
3. Helmets must be securely strapped before leaving the  transition. 
4. No one but the athletes are allowed in the transition area.  
5. Bib number must be worn on the run. 
6. There is no drafting on the bike. Click here for details
7. Secure chip tightly on your left ankle.
8. The course will be well marked but it is your responsibility to know the course.
8. Aqua bike go to the finishline to receive your medal.

AWARDS

Awards will go to the first F/M in each distance.  Age group awards will also be given to the top 3 F/M  in 5 year increments starting with 15 and under, 16-19,20-24, 25-29, 30-34 u to 80-84
Top relay teams in each distance will also receive awards. Top 5 in the Aqua-Bike Division receive awards.
