The Whale Run & Walk is back in 2024!
Fort Bragg, CA always has a huge Whale Festival on the 3rd weekend of March, and this is a big part of it. Soroptimist has been doing this race for 35 years, until we were forced to cancel just before our 2019 race. It's taken awhile to regroup, but we're back better than ever!
All runners, walkers, and spectators will enjoy breathtaking whitewater ocean views (including whales) along this year’s new course starting at the Noyo Headlands of the Coastal Trail.
- 5k runners will turn around at Soldier Point
- 10K runners dash by Glass Beach to cross the beautiful Pudding Creek Trestle to the 10K turn around.
- Fun Walkers trek south crossing Noyo Bridge to walk the Pomo Bluffs Park trail overlooking majestic Noyo Bay.
- There will also be a kiddie run (route tbd)
