Come join the American Legion Post 408 on Memorial Day weekend to honor and remember Medal of Honor recipient Alfredo Cantu Gonzalez at the "Freddy Gonzalez Legacy 5K Run."

Freddy, a proud native of Edinburg, Texas, and an alumnus of Edinburg High School, Freddy epitomized the ideals of a model son, a dedicated student, and an exceptional athlete.

This event pays tribute to Freddy's Legacy while commemorating and honoring all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Join us on the route, embrace the memories, and let's run in unity to honor the legacy of Freddy Gonzalez – a shining example of dedication, perseverance, and the true spirit of Edinburg. See you at the starting line as we come together to remember a remarkable individual who will forever inspire us.
