Event Description

The Teal Diva Lowcountry 5k is joining forces with two other amazing non-profits, NothingPink and the South Carolina Ovarian Cancer Foundation; We are Stronger Together!  Through this event and our outreach within the Lowcountry, we plan to educate the community on hereditary breast and ovarian cancers along with signs and symptoms of gynecological cancers.  We celebrate previvors, women diagnosed and living with gynecologic cancer and honor those who have passed away. 

Join us for an unforgettable day as we join forces for the first time presenting the Stronger Together 5k at Johns Island County Park on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The race will start at 9:00 am.  The race course is absolutely beautiful guiding runners and walkers on a packed sandy trail under beautiful live oak trees, and is stroller friendly. The event is open to families and even friendly fur-babies. Johns Island County Park is just down the road from the famous Angel Oak Tree (the largest Live Oak Tree east of the Mississippi, 300-400 years old) and just a short drive from Downtown Charleston SC.

The mission of NothingPink is to increase awareness of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer and provide personalized support to individuals at high risk.

SCOCF is dedicated to improving the health of women through education on the warning signs of ovarian cancer, support of those diagnosed with the disease, and promotion of ovarian cancer research.

Teal Diva's focuses on the mental and emotional health of those affected by gynecologic cancer. 

The three Stronger Together nonprofits are united to serve women in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Join forces with us on September 21st at Johns Island County Park!
