Event Description
April is Amputee Awareness Month. May 2024 will mark 3 years that I have been an amputee. This event was created to raise awareness and support two groups that are important to me. When I was in high school, I was a member of the track and cross-country teams. Before my accident, I enjoyed running as a stress reliever and for exercise. Working with kids is another passion of mine. Nothing was going to stop me from getting back to teaching even after becoming an amputee. Camp No-Limits is a camp for children who deal with being an amputee (https://www.nolimitsfoundation.org/). I want to be able to offer scholarships for children who may struggle with the cost of attending camp. This event will raise funds to help both Camp No-Limits and the Green County Track team. Thank you for your help and support - Katie Henderson.
Both events will be held on the track. The run begins at 9am cst and the walk will begin at the conclusion of the run.
We are giving out awards for the Top 3 females and top 3 males in the run category only.
Kona Ice will be there.
A BIG thank you to our sponsors - John D.
